Avon Descent

Training at Bells this Sunday, 10th July
Time: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Free food and hot drinks provided.
Where: Bells Rapid, Cathedral Ave, Brigadoon

Topics will include (not limited to):
– Radio communications (practical)
– Flag marshals and communication
– Recovery operations brief
– Size Up and River Features
– Strainer negotiation
– Cooperative and uncooperative casualties

What to bring:
– Full-Length Wet Suit
– Booties (Hard or Soft but no Rock Hoppers)
– Gloves (not required, but recommended)
– Warm Clothes for post-session + beanie
– Towel
– Cup (for hot drinks)

ADSU will supply:
– Helmets
– Rescue Personal Floatation Devices (PFD’s)
– Food, hot water and tea/ coffee
– Technical training equipment
