A NOTE FROM ROBYN KHORSHID IN REGARDS TO WATER LEVELS AT LONG POOL

Avon

Toodyay ti-tree paddlers should note that the wooden gauge at Long Pool has moved and no longer indicates how much water is flowing through those trees. It indicates a higher reading than the amount of water that is really there.  Those who are used to the previous readings should consult either the Dept. of Water reading at Toodyay here or else the old post level here.

The Toodyay Dept. of Water level 10.5m, (10.00m is ‘no flow’) is a level where most paddlers will not have to portage.  Below that, portages may be necessary.  That equates to a previous reading of about 0.4m on the wooden post before it moved.
