WA Sea Kayak Fest 2018

We welcome all sea kayakers to attend the 2018 Sea Kayak Fest’ – the 7th Annual Sea Kayaking Symposium run in Western Australia and hosted by Paddle WA & Sea Kayak Club WA.  The Theme of this year’s event is ‘Paddle Lightly’, a focus through which we hope to bring you an environmentally sensitive event, featuring choices and action that we can all take to paddle for the future and minimise our impact on the marine eco-systems that we enjoy.

The 2018 event will take place in the beautiful south-west corner of our state. A sea kayaker festival base-camp will be set up overlooking the sheltered waters of Geographe Bay at Camp Grace (approx. 10km from Busselton). The base-camp is close to plenty of excellent paddling sites on the capes, with opportunity for paddlers of all levels to challenge themselves and enjoy learning about the many dimensions of sea kayaking. The weekend will feature an exciting array of on and off water activities, daily kayaking trips, opportunities to learn new skills, the chance to learn from some of the worlds most experienced paddlers, and wonderful paddling in one of WA’s premier coastal areas. For instructors and guides, this is a great opportunity for participating in professional learning.

Kayaking legends, Paul Caffyn & Dave Winkworth are flying in as our guests of honour and will be our keynote speakers on the Friday & Saturday nights.

SAVE THE DATE – BOOK YOUR DAYS OFF!!!

Note: You do not have to be a Paddle WA member to attend this event, but you do need a sit in style sea-kayak.
